The Warrior Angel Creations Story

In 2015, my life changed overnight when I was diagnosed with Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome (POTS). Forced into early retirement from the Air Force, I suddenly had to navigate an entirely new way of living. For nearly three years, I was wheelchair-dependent, relearning how to move through the world and regaining my independence step by step.

During that time, I struggled to find wheelchair accessories that actually worked for me. Most products on the market were frustrating—zippers and snaps were impossible to manage during a flare, and I couldn't hold things on my lap when my hands failed me. So, I started designing my own solutions—functional, practical, and full of color. My wheelchair wasn’t just a tool; it was a lifeline that helped me reclaim my life, and I wanted to celebrate it rather than hide it.

 In 2022, I was hit with another battle—Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. The diagnosis, treatments, and relentless side effects took their toll. Warrior Angel Creations faded into the background as I focused on simply getting through each day. Chemo fog stole my creativity, and for 2.5 years, I barely had the energy to sew, let alone create new designs. 

 Then, in December 2024, the spark returned. As I reached the downswing of my cancer treatments, creativity flooded back, and with it, a renewed passion for Warrior Angel Creations. Within two months, I had redesigned my original wheelchair bags, developed brand-new products, and even introduced the unexpected (and hilarious) bookmark thong!   I am a one-woman company, remember I only have so many hours in a day.
